Jeremiah
When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet to the nations, his immediate response was fear and excuses about being too young and unqualified. This mirrors our own reactions when God calls us to step out in faith. The profound truth revealed in Jeremiah's story is that God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called.God told Jeremiah that He knew him before birth, set him apart, and appointed him for a specific purpose. This divine foreknowledge applies to each of us—we are not accidents but intentionally designed for God's purposes. When we make excuses based on our inadequacies, God doesn't argue about our abilities. Instead, He redirects our focus to His presence: 'Do not be afraid, for I am with you.' Our weakness becomes the very canvas on which God displays His strength.Throughout Scripture, from Joshua to Paul, we see this pattern repeated—God's power is made perfect in weakness. The question isn't what abilities we have, but who we have with us. God is still calling today, inviting us to trust Jesus, lay down our excuses, and step into the life He designed for us. When we surrender our inadequacies to God, His presence and His Word become the power behind our mission.
